The Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ is to “Go therefore, and make disciples of all nations.”  First Philippine Baptist Church takes these Words to heart.  We are passionate about sharing the Good News about Jesus.  We believe that now, more than ever, people need to know something that is more important than what this present life offers.  People need to hear stories about the power of the blood of Jesus.  They need to witness lives that have been transformed because of God’s great love.  They need to experience a living, loving God through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord!

Making Disciples, Changing Lives!

We’ve a story to tell to the nations.
And what a story! Of our God’s
…unfailing love
…unending mercies
…faithfulness that knows no end
…provision of peace that passes understanding
…gift of joy in the midst of trials
…amazing grace

…transforming power.
Watch and know that the Lord, He is God. He is able and, indeed, mighty to save. “For from Him and to Him and through Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever and ever! Amen.”

The function of this ministry is to reach out and touch someone by the tangible gifts and donations offered by the FPBC family. In it’s capacity, it meets the needs of the neediest members during times of personal and family crises.

  • School Supply Drive. Prior to school opening, school supplies are solicited and donated to under privileged children.
  • The Houston Food Bank is a beneficiary of the ministry’s food drive where canned goods and non-perishable food items are collected.
  • Provides support to Christian organizations that work among the underprivileged, especially during natural disasters locally and internationally.

First Philippine Baptist Church is committed on training its members in their ongoing spiritual growth:

  • To increase their knowledge of Christian faith and doctrine
  • To deepen their relationship with Christ through regular prayer, bible study and worship
  • To learn or acquire ministry skills, which include discipleship, disciple-making and evangelistic multiplication
  • To discover their God given talents and spiritual gifts for service in the local and universal church.

Through the generosity, help and support of FPBC Church Members, we were able to send some of our own to short-term missions trips, locally and in countries outside the US like Singapore and South America.

We are prayerfully considering and planning to send some to Kiev, Ukraine and the Philippines in 2010 and 2011 respectively.  Watch for more updates.
