Married to the former Dr. Cecil Gonzalez of Iloilo City, they have one daughter, Faith Alexine, born in 1997.

Graduated from Central Philippine University in 1988 with a Bachelor's Degree in Theology, and a Master of Divinity from Asian Theological Seminary in 1991. In 2004, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky conferred to Pastor Dagohoy, the Degree of Doctorate in Ministry.

On December 14, 1994, he accepted the invitation to serve as Associate and Youth Pastor and became the Senior Pastor in summer of 1997.

Before joining First Philippine Baptist Church, he was the Chaplain and Associate Pastor of the University Church of Central Philippine University in Iloilo, Philippines.

Married to the former Emily Barger. Pastor Rick first served as a part-time youth worker in 2003 while employed as a Science Teacher in Cy-Creek High School. Before the year was over, he quit his teaching job to answer God's calling to become a full-time Youth Pastor of First Philippine Baptist Church.

He was ordained as a full-fledged Minister of the Gospel in 2004 and on December 2009, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary confered to Pastor Rick, the Master of Divinity.
